A page we host at your own URL, no theme code to install. Your customer enters their order number and email or zip, picks items, picks a reason, and chooses a refund or an exchange. You set the logo, accent color, and policy text.
Approve, decline, and process without leaving Shopify
An embedded dashboard lists every return by state. One click to approve or decline with a reason, then process refunds on Shopify's own rails with a prefilled suggested amount and set what restocks. Exchange requests show you the exact same-product variant the customer wants. The return stays in sync with your Shopify admin the whole way.

What Returnwell does not do yet
Version one does not print carrier return labels. Third-party apps cannot generate Shopify Shipping labels at all, and carrier labels need a separate integration, so we are label-less by design: the approval email and portal show your return address and instructions, and you can upload your own prepaid label to any return. Carrier label support, through your own EasyPost or Shippo account, is the first item on our roadmap, and connecting it will not change your $129 price.
Exchanges in version one are same-product variant swaps, for example a different size: the customer picks the variant they want and you send the replacement. Automated exchange fulfillment is on the roadmap. Refunds are fully handled in the app, through Shopify's own rails, so Returnwell never holds funds and never touches card data.
